‘Children Interconnecting with Nature’- AAEE 2012 paper
The 2012 Australian Association of Environmental Educators “Creating our next courageous steps” Conference in Melbourne was an amazing four days, rich with challenging ideas and enthusiastic presenters and interesting, passionate people to converse with from across Australia and further afield.
Children interconnecting with Nature , my presentation, was a small part of this conference. It shared my activities, expeiences and reflections from my Environmental Science program at Yaapeet Primary School in 2011, and a follow-up visit in 2012, to consider interconnectedness with Nature, wonder at Nature and courageous/steps relating to the first conference theme “Towards ecological balance -contributing to our ability to encourage interconnection of humans and the environment”.
